As the Dough Rises
I worked on creating a public program focusing on kitchens and bread making over time. With a team, I helped brainstorm the theme and topic. My portion of the presentation focused on Antebellum (1800-1850s) technology and how they impacted the Northeastern kitchen. This required research on a regional scale. In March 2016, I had the opportunity to present my research to local residents.
Speaking about kitchens encouraged me to:
Sharpen my research skills to focus on a regional scale
Plan a lecture from start to finish
Present to a group of people
